How to Factory Reset Fire TV

If your Fire TV keeps freezing, lagging, or acting glitchy, a factory reset can fix most issues. It also erases all your data, making it safe to sell or give away. Here’s how to reset your Fire TV device to factory defaults using your remote, through the Settings menu, or even from another device.

Note: Resetting your Fire TV device will erase all your personal information, including your apps, passwords, and other settings. If your Fire TV isn’t working properly, you might want to try restarting your device instead.
